BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Lehigh sophomore attackman Dan Taylor has earned Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week honors following Saturday's 14-5 win over Patriot League rival Lafayette, as announced on Monday. Taylor had a hand in half of Lehigh's goals, scoring a career-high four goals while adding three assists for a career-high seven points. It marks Taylor's first Patriot League weekly award.
The Calgary, Alberta native got Lehigh off on the right foot on Saturday, scoring the game's first two goals in the first 4:31 as the Mountain Hawks wouldn't look back. For the season, Taylor is second on the team with 45 points and is tied for the team lead with 26 goals.
Junior Ty Souders and freshman Tripp Telesco also earned honorable mention recognition for their efforts on Saturday. The Mountain Hawks stood pat in both national polls, sitting 14th in the Nike/Inside Lacrosse Top 20 Media Poll and 16th in the USILA Coaches Poll released Monday.
The Mountain Hawks now look ahead to the Patriot League Tournament this coming weekend, which they'll host.
