LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Lehigh women's track and field team competed at the Bison Outdoor Classic and Pollard Invite this weekend, with two athletes surpassing ECAC qualifying times.

Senior E'Lana Lemon set a new personal record in the hammer at Bucknell. Her heave of 56.27 meters was good enough to qualify her for the ECAC Championships. Junior Brooke Astor finished third in the event with a mark of 36.48 meters.

Senior Kristin Slotnick also qualified for the regional championships after finishing in second place in the 200 meter dash with a time of 26.44 seconds.

The Brown and White continued to register top finishes in the 800 meter run, as junior Jessica Kendzor and senior Lauren Pietrosh finished sixth and 10th respectively with times of 2:13.54 and 2:14.66. Senior Kathleen Ryan finished 18th with a time of 2:15.99.

“They've really been the backbone of our team this season and they should continue to do well in the league and regional championships,” Utesch said of the three top 20 finishers in the event.

At the Pollard Invite, Lehigh registered three top 10 finishes in the 400 meter hurdles. Sophomores Natalie Bates (1:07.79), Babette Hohrath (1:08.35) and Taryn Schmelzinger (1:08.41) finished fifth, sixth and seventh in the event.

Some of the team will return to Moravian for the Greyhound Invitational on April 19, while other athletes will head to Princeton, N.J. on April 19 and 20 to compete in the Larry Ellis Invitational.
