Mountain Hawks fall to Army in second PL contest

WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Lehigh women's tennis team fell to Army 7-0 on Sunday in its second Patriot League contest of the season. The sweep followed Lehigh's 7-0 shutout of Holy Cross on Saturday at Army's Lichtenberg Tennis Center, making Lehigh 3-11 overall and evening its Patriot League mark to 1-1. The Black Knights improved to 13-3 overall and have now won 57 straight Patriot League regular season matches.
In the top singles flight, Jamila Paul took down Bilimoria in two 6-4 sets. Junior Jill Sloand, Lehigh's top singles performer, fell to Gabriella Spindler in straight 6-1 sets in the final singles flight.
The Brown and White will look to bounce back when they host Monmouth, their final out-of-league opponent this season, at 3 p.m. April 2.
