Kinek garners fourth Patriot League Rookie of the Week award

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Freshman Kerry Kinek claimed her fourth Patriot League Rookie of the Week award after her dropping a career-high 22 points against Holy Cross on Sunday. Kinek added seven boards and four blocks to her impressive 34 minutes on the floor, leading all scorers on the afternoon in what was her 17th double figure performance of the season.
Kinek scored her career-high 22 on 7-of-12 (58 percent) shooting from the field and a 7-of-11 (63.6) effort from the line, eclipsing her previous mark of 19 (set twice). Kinek is the second leading freshman scorer among Patriot League competition and is third-leading scorer against league opponents, averaging 14.8 ppg against Patriot League competition.
Kinek and the rest of the Mountain Hawks will return to the hardwood on Wednesday, February 13 when they travel to Washington, D.C. for a 7 p.m. tip with the Eagles of American.
