Lemon earns second straight Patriot League weekly award

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – For the 11th time in her remarkable career, senior E'Lana Lemon has been named the Patriot League's Female Athlete of the Week, earning the award for the second consecutive week and third time this season. Lemon posted an ECAC-qualifying distance of 17.95 meters at Lehigh's Angry Birds meet last Saturday.
Lemon added to her Patriot League-best distance with a her toss of 17.95 meters in the weight throw, surpassing her personal record of 17.66 meters and finishing .11 meters ahead of the rest of the 16 other competitors, earning Lehigh nine team points.
She continues to add to her illustrious career, racking up four Patriot League weekly awards in each of the last two seasons before earning three thus far this year.
Lehigh will be back in action on Saturday, January 26 when it hosts Lafayette for the annual dual meet inside Rauch Fieldhouse beginning at 2 p.m.
