Cassese to serve as guest studio analyst on ESPN this weekend

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Lehigh head coach Kevin Cassese will serve as a guest studio analyst on ESPN2 and ESPNU this weekend as the NCAA Men's Lacrosse Championship Presented by Enterprise Rent-A-Car action continues. The 2012 Patriot League Coach of the Year will join host Anish Shroff and analyst Mark Dixon all weekend from ESPNU's studio in Charlotte, N.C. Quarterfinal games are set for 12 and 2:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Saturday's games in Annapolis, Md. will air on ESPN2 (and online at ESPN3.com), featuring Maryland against Johns Hopkins at 12 p.m. and Denver vs. Loyola at 2:30. Defending national champion Virginia takes on Notre Dame Sunday at noon prior to Colgate vs. Cassese's alma mater Duke at 2:30. Those games are set for PPL Park in Chester, Pa. and will air on ESPNU/ESPN3.

Shroff, Dixon and Cassese will provide studio coverage before, after and between contests as they break down all four games over the two days.

Cassese and the Mountain Hawks are coming off a record-breaking 2012 season, finishing with a school-record 14 wins while capturing their first Patriot League Tournament Title and NCAA Tournament berth. This past Sunday, Lehigh dropped a hard-fought 10-9 final to defending national finalist Maryland in an NCAA First Round Game. A back-and-forth affair was witnessed by an Ulrich Sports Complex record 2,278 fans - third highest attendance among the eight first round sites. The Mountain Hawks earned the #7 seed and were ranked fourth in the most recent USILA Coaches Poll, the highest ranking in school history.
