BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Lehigh women's tennis team hosted the first of two home events this month as the Mountain Hawks battled Loyola (Md.), Saint Francis (Pa.) and league rival Bucknell in the Lehigh Invitational which was contested Friday to Sunday on the Ulrich Varsity Courts and inside the Lewis Tennis Center.
The highlight of the weekend for the Mountain Hawks was their performance against a Saint Francis squad that beat Lehigh last spring. On Saturday Lehigh swept the Red Flash in doubles and won four of six singles matches.

y available.Lehigh began Saturday by defeating the Red Flash. The Mountain Hawks swept three doubles matches, with junior Jenai Bilimoria and Abby Farrell teaming for a win at No. 1 doubles, junior Jill Sloand and freshman Ali Kaminetsky teaming at No. 2 doubles and sophomores Molly Brooks and Emily Brooks playing at third doubles.
In singles play, Bilimoria posted a straight set win over Rafaela Panizza at No.1 singles. The Moungain Hawks also received wins from Bruch, Brooks and Sloand in the bottom three flights.
Lehigh finished up Saturday by taking two of three doubles matches from league rival Bucknell. Farrell and Bilimoria lost in a tiebreak at first doubles, but Lehigh's other two teams posted victories.
The Bison turned the tide in singles play on Sunday, winning five of six matches. Bilimoria accounted for Lehigh's lone singles win, downing Elena Vidrascu in straight sets.
The Mountain Hawks will wrap-up their fall season when they host another Lehigh Fall Invitational October 26-28 on the Goodman Campus.
