BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Lehigh women's tennis team wrapped up its fall season welcoming Colgate and Lafayette for the Lehigh Fall Invitational, which concluded Sunday at the Lewis Tennis Center. The Mountain Hawks squared off against the Raiders in singles and doubles and defeated the Leopards in five singles matches to close out the fall slate.

Action began Friday afternoon as Lehigh played singles against Colgate. Sophomore Abby Farrell picked up a win for the Brown and White, defeating Kelsey Shea in a third set ten point tiebreak, while the Raiders won the other four matches including two that were decided in ten point tiebreaks.

On Saturday, Lehigh met rival Lafayette in singles. The highlight for the Mountain Hawks was an impressive performance from junior Jenai Bilimoria who was down a set and behind 5-0 in the second set to Caroline Nixon before rallying to win seven straight games to take the second set, before winning the match in third-set ten point tiebreak 10-2.

Bilimoria's win was the first of four singles wins for Lehigh versus Lafayette. Farrell won her second match in as many days, downing Amanda Kusnierz in straight sets. Sophomores Emily Bruch and Molly Brooks also posted straight set wins in singles, with Brooks dropping just one game to Lauren Gibbons.

The weekend concluded with doubles action Sunday against Colgate. The teams split two matches, with Bilimoria and Farrell downing Kelsey Shea and Lexi Lazares 8-5, while Bruch and junior Jill Sloand fell to Jennifer Ho and Alex Petrini.

The Mountain Hawks will open up their spring season in late January.
