Prosser repeats as Patriot League Player of the Week

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – For the second consecutive week, Lehigh women's basketball senior Erica Prosser has been named Anaconda Patriot League Player of the Week for her efforts in wins over Navy and Army last week. Prosser averaged 19 points and 7.5 assists in the two games to move the Mountain Hawks into third place in the Patriot League standings.
Prosser is Lehigh's fourth weekly award winner of the season, as senior Courtney Dentler and junior Emily Gratch were given player of the week laurels earlier in the season. Prosser earns Patriot League player of the week honors for a second-straight week after she posted a career-high 29 points the previous week against American.
The Pittsburgh native has been a huge piece to Lehigh's current five-game win streak, and she maintained that high level of performance in two games last week. She scored 18 points, dished seven assists and grabbed four rebounds and four steals in the Mountain Hawks' 63-59 win Wednesday over first-place Navy, avenging a one-point defeat they suffered in Annapolis last month. In Saturday's 70-57 victory over Army, she scored 20 points and dealt eight assists while grabbing four rebounds. For the week, Prosser shot 56 percent (14-of-25) from the field and went a perfect 5-of-5 on three-pointers. She averaged 19.0 points, 7.5 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 2.0 steals during Lehigh's 2-0 week, helping to move the Mountain Hawks within a game of first place.
Prosser currently ranks fourth in the Patriot League in scoring (13.8) and first in assists (5.6). Additionally, her 5.6 assist average ranks 17th nationally.
The Mountain Hawks will be back in action at Colgate on Wednesday, Feb. 16, for a 7 p.m. matchup with the Raiders. The game can be heard on WLVR FM and Lehighsports.com with pregame coverage beginning 15 minutes prior to tip with Matt Markus.
