Fall baseball is here!
The fall of 2011 represents head coach Sean Leary's 22nd year of fall baseball and 17th as the head coach at Lehigh. The Mountain Hawks' 2011 squad finished 24-21 and the 47 wins over the past two seasons has everyone inspired to make the 2012 season a special one.

This fall will be a busy one. On September 14th, Lehigh hosted our annual pro scout day. Last fall, 23 MLB teams attended and with the success of recent professionals, Lehigh was able to have another strong showing this fall. Lehigh baseball has also begun its Brown and White on and that series will continue through mid-October. Once again, Lehigh will play some outside competition as it hosted St. Joseph's on October 1st and will host Muhlenberg on October 15th at 11 a.m.
One of the highlights of this fall is that Lehigh will be attempting a new alumni event. Some of Lehigh baseball's core alumni have asked Leary rotate an alumni tailgate and the alumni baseball game. So on November 5th, there will be an alumni tailgate starting at 10 a.m. with the event hosted at the baseball diamond.
A note from coach Leary:
At the alumni event, we would like to take 10-15 minutes to continue the discussion on the Launching of the Lehigh Baseball Partnership. Mark Strauch '92 has agreed to take the lead as the Baseball Ambassador and we've been working to build “his team” of alumni. We are looking for alumni era representatives (main job responsibility is to communicate with your teammates to encourage participation in events and financial support for the program). We are also looking for alumni to assist in key alumni roles related to Communications (Chris Quern '96), Career Networking (Dave Angstreich '96), Alumni Support (TBD). In each key leadership area we are looking for co-chairs and volunteers. Basically, contact me if you have an interest in becoming more active with the Baseball Partnership spl3@lehigh.edu or call 610-758-4315.
Here are the guys that have already committed to volunteer:
• Alumni Ambassador: Mark Strauch '92
• Baseball Ambassador Emeritus: Paul Hartzell '75
• Communication: Chris Querns '96
• Events & Gathering : TBD
• Career Networking: Dave Angstreich '96
