Mountain Hawks set to close out season in N.J.

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Several members of the Lehigh rowing team will conclude their 2010 spring season on Sunday, May 23 as they travel to West Windsor, New Jersey to compete at the US Rowing Collegiate championship at Lake Mercer. Lehigh will send six student-athletes to the event, including five on the men’s side and one on the women’s side to compete in the men’s varsity 4 and the women’s lightweight single. Both events are straight finals.
Lehigh was last in action the weekend of May 7-8 as the entire Mountain Hawks team headed to Philadelphia to compete at the Dad Vail Regatta. The men’s varsity 8 crew advanced to the repechage, while the women’s freshmen four earned a third place finish in its race.
On Sunday, May 23 at the US Rowing Collegiate championship, Lehigh’s men’s varsity four crew consisting of Spencer Gundry, Chris Daniels, Andrew Bartynski, Eric Harper and Jack Muskett will race at 8:24 AM and Carolyn Bird will then race in the women’s lightweight single final at 10:00.
