BETHLEHEM, Pa. – A piece of Lehigh baseball history will be heading down south, as an autographed baseball by Lehigh senior Greg Angelo will be heading to the College Baseball Hall of Fame in Lubbock, Texas. The baseball is from Angelo’s no-hitter he threw in a 2-0 win against Lafayette on April 11, which was the first Lehigh no-hitter since Steve Lyons ‘89 threw one against Coppin State in 1988.
Angelo has earned multiple accolades for his no-hitter, which include national honors from the College Baseball Foundation, Collegiate Baseball News and College Baseball Insider.
After taking three of four games against Holy Cross this past weekend, the Mountain Hawks finished the regular season in second place and will host the Crusaders in one of the semifinal series of the Patriot League Tournament.
