BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Junior captain Lauren Dykstra was honored with her third consecutive weekly award from the Patriot League on Monday, as she was named the Offensive Player of the Week after earning defensive laurels the previous two weeks.  Dykstra netted a season-best six goals in Lehigh’s 15-12 victory over Colgate on Saturday which gave the Mountain Hawks a share of the Patriot League regular season title and the right to host the upcoming P.L. Tournament.  Also on Monday, the league announced that top-seeded Lehigh will host No. 4 Holy Cross at 7:00 on Friday, April 30 in the second semifinal of the tournament at the Ulrich Sports Complex.  No. 2 Navy and No. 3 Colgate will meet in the first semifinal beginning at 4:30.

Dykstra equaled her season high with the six goals in the win over Colgate.  She also won two draw controls, scooped up three ground balls and surpassed the 50-goal mark for the third consecutive season.  Dykstra currently leads Lehigh with 51 goals and 58 points and is second on the squad with 41 ground balls.  She has also won 34 draw controls and caused 12 turnovers.  Dykstra’s streak of 49 consecutive games with a point is currently the seventh longest in America.

By virtue of its win over Navy on April 17 Lehigh was awarded the number-one seed in the upcoming Patriot League Tournament and with it the right to host the tourney for the first time in school history.  The Mountain Hawks won a school record five Patriot League contests this season and have posted a 7-2 mark at home.  The regular season championship is Lehigh’s first since 1994.

Tickets for the 2010 Patriot League Women’s Lacrosse Tournament are $5 for adults and $3 for students and children.  All tickets will be sold at the door on game day and all seating is general admission.  One ticket is good for both semifinal games on Friday.  Tickets will go on sale beginning 60 minutes prior to the Navy-Colgate tilt.

The winners of Friday’s semifinal contests will meet on Sunday, May 2 at 1:00 in the 2010 Patriot League championship game.
