Mountain Hawks earn No. 1 seed in the PLT

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The field for the 2010 Patriot League Women’s Basketball Tournament has been finalized and Lehigh has earned the No. 1 seed. The Mountain Hawks edged American in Monday’s RPI rankings from Collegiate Basketball News to break the first place tie. The Brown and White finished the regular season with an RPI of 75, while the Eagles finished 118th.
Lehigh will face the Bucknell Bison in the first round of the tournament Saturday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. in Worcester, Mass. The Mountain Hawks are 2-0 vs. the Bison this year after defeating them 69-47 on January 27 and 56-41 on February 24.
American earned the No. 2 seed and will face Lafayette in the first round and the host fifth seeded Crusaders will face No. 4 Army to kick off the tournament. The final first round game will feature the No. 3 seed Navy and the No.6 seed Colgate. Below is the complete schedule of the first two rounds.
