BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lehigh welcomes Lafayette to Stabler Arena Saturday night at 7:05 p.m. as it closes out its regular season home schedule. The Mountain Hawks are coming off one of their best offensive performances of the season as they defeated Colgate 80-49 Wednesday night. The 80-points tied a season-high for Lehigh, who won its 10th straight game and 31st straight at home. Emily Gratch had a game-high 20 points, while Alex Ross shot 5-for-10 on three-pointers and finished with 17 points. Lafayette is coming off a 60-54 win over Bucknell where it used a 13 -0 run late in the game to come back and clip the Bison. The Leopards used free throws to seal the game as they won their third Patriot League game this season and ended their seven game losing streak.
Tonight’s game will be the final regular season home game for the Lehigh senior class. Being honored will be guards Kristen Dalton and Alex Ross. Dalton has been the definition of a team player as she has adjusted to any role the team has needed and has played in 96 games for the Brown and White. Ross has cemented herself as not only the best three-point shooter in team history, but as one of the best in Patriot League history. Her 275 three-pointers currently sit first all-time in the league. Two fifth-year seniors who were honored last season will also be playing their final regular season home games: Ryan Ingalls and Tricia Smith.
Erica Prosser leads Lehigh in scoring (14.3), but that isn’t the case in league play. Emily Gratch has been the most consistent scorer as she is averaging 12.3 ppg, which is the seventh highest total in league play. The sophomore forward rotates in and out of the starting lineup and is shooting .519 this season.
Tip-off on Saturday is set for 7:05 p.m. from Stabler Arena. Tickets are available in advance by calling 610-7LU-GAME or online at Lehighsports.com, and on game day at the Stabler Arena box office 60 minutes prior to tipoff.
