BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Lehigh women's lacrosse team wrapped up a successful fall season on Saturday, Oct. 23 at the George Mason Tournament. The Mountain Hawks enjoyed strong performances against Georgetown, Towson, La Salle and George Washington to wrap up a busy fall campaign.

“It was a beautiful day with competitive lacrosse,” said head coach Jill Redfern. “Our team demonstrated great tenacity and teamwork. The coaching staff is proud of our development this fall and we are anxiously awaiting our spring season."

Lehigh also competed against Penn State, Rutgers, Drexel, Lafayette and Monmouth earlier this fall.

“We rely on our fall events to see where we are and what we need to address over the next several months,” added associate head coach Kelley Putnam added.

Mountain Hawk players will continue to prepare over the winter with strength and speed coach Eric Markovczy.
The 2011 campaign is right around the corner, with the season set to begin in February. Check back to Lehighsports.com over the coming weeks to see who the Mountain Hawks will face in 2011.
