Lewandowski named top female freshman athlete

Lehigh held its annual Convocation Program on Monday morning at Grace Hall to look back on the accomplishments of the past year for both team and individual performances. Freshman Gina Lewandowski was named the John S. Steckbeck award winner, as Lehigh's top female freshman athlete in 2003-04. Lewandowksi was a First-Team All-Patriot League selection and she set a new Lehigh scoring mark for a freshman with 12 goals, the second highest total in a single season in school history. For her efforts, Lewandowski was named the Patriot League Freshman of the Year, and to Soccer Buzz Magazine's Mid-Atlantic Region All-Freshman Team. She led the Mountain Hawks in points and goals in helping lead Lehigh to its most wins in a single season ever.
