Lehigh will host its final home dual meet of the season Thursday night as the Mountain Hawks welcome the Rider Broncs to Leeman-Turner Arena. The Mountain Hawks will be looking to bounce back from a 25-11 loss to Hofstra Friday in the 2008 Sheridan Dual, a match that saw Lehigh win three bouts, but also suffer several close losses. Rider is 6-10 in duals this season, and recently won five in a row before dropping its most recent dual at Old Dominion on Sunday. Lehigh and Rider met this year in the consolation round at the Virginia Duals, where major decisions from Seth Ciasulli, Trevor Chinn and Alex Caruso propelled the Brown and White to a 21-11 victory.
Thursday night’s dual will serve as the final home match for fifth-year seniors Jeff Santo and Dave Nakasone. Santo has started at three different weight classes in his career and won 66 percent of his bouts throughout his first three seasons. Nakasone qualified for the NCAA Championships last season, and has not missed a dual meet since the start of his junior season.
These two teams are meeting for the second time this season, after butting heads at the Virginia Duals last month. The Broncs become the tenth team to face Lehigh twice in the same season, and the seventh since 2001. This season, Lehigh has already faced

The Mountain Hawks lead the all-time series with the Broncs 11-5-0, including last month’s win at the Virginia Duals. Rider knocked off Lehigh in the 2006-07 season opener, but prior to that, Lehigh had won nine straight in the series. Greg Strobel is 10-2 all-time versus Rider.
Friday’s dual gets underway at 7 p.m. from Leeman-Turner Arena at Grace Hall. Tickets can be purchased by calling 610-7LU-GAME or by visiting the Lehigh ticket office, located in Grace Hall.
