Trenge leads Lehigh contingent at Olympic Trials

– Three wrestlers from the Lehigh family will be attempting to make their Olympic dreams come true this weekend, as the U.S. Wrestling Olympic Trials get underway at the RCA Dome. Assistant coaches Jason Kutz ’96 and Kerry McCoy are both competing this week, as is rising Lehigh senior Jon Trenge, who took a deferral this year from school on order to work towards making the Olympic team.
McCoy, a member of the 2000 Olympic team in
Trenge, competing in the 211-lb class, is up against some very stiff competition, but will be feeding off the momentum he gained being named the Outstanding Wrestler of the Central Regional qualifying tournament.
