Lehigh prepares for 60th meeting with Army

Bethlehem, PA – Lehigh is getting set to take on one of their most played rivals Friday night, as the Mountain Hawks travel to West Point to take on Army. This will be the 60th meeting between the two schools, the most of any Lehigh opponent aside from Cornell and Navy. The series has been lopsided of late, with Lehigh winning the last ten duals and twelve of the last thirteen. The last Army win was in 1991 by a final of 19-16.

The Mountain Hawks will be looking to get back on track after losing just their third dual meet of the season last Saturday, dropping a 25-13 decision to No. 2 Nebraska in the finals of the Virginia Duals. This will be the second EIWA match for Lehigh and first for Army. Lehigh defeated American 38-9 earlier this season. The two squads have one opponent in common, Oregon State, whom the Mountain Hawks defeated 36-7 at the Aloha Duals while Army lost to them 24-13 at the Oregon Classic.

The match is set to begin at 8:00, with audio coverage being provided on 1260/1130 WEEX and on Lehigh’s website at www.lehighsports.com.
