Lehigh looks good at Midlands

Evanston, Ill.- Lehigh sent seven of its wrestlers to Northwestern to compete in the 39th annual Midlands Tournament held December 29th and 30th. After the first day of competition Lehigh has several wrestlers in contention Midland finishes.
Sophomore tri-captain Jon Trenge (197), wrestling attached for Lehigh, easily won his first two matches of the day. His new protective eyewear seemed to have no effect on his wrestling as the sophomore took down Josh Lepper in 1:38, before earning a 6-0 decision over Robbie Odell.
Freshmen Derek Zinck (157) and Troy Letters (165) wrestling unattached, have made quite an impression at the Tournament. Zinck avenged a semifinal loss to the East Stroudsburg Open Champion, George Carter, beating him 5-2 in the consolations. Both Zink and Letters have the opportunity to place at Midlands.
Wrestling action will continue Sunday December 30th at the Midlands.
