Bethlehem, PA – The wrestling team held the 80th Annual Lewis Wrestling Dinner in Iacocca Hall on Sunday evening. In addition to the dinner and a highlight video, the team announced it’s award winners and captains for next season.
The winner of the team’s Scholar-Athlete Award was senior Tristan Boyd. Boyd is a History major with a 3.6 GPA. The team’s Outstanding Athlete for the 2002-03 season was freshman Troy Letters. Letters finished his inaugural campaign with a 34-2 record, an EIWA championship, and advanced to the NCAA finals. Junior Jon Trenge received the Coaches Award. Trenge also advanced to the NCAA finals and completed his season with a 34-3 overall record.
This year’s captains, Trenge and junior Brad Dillon, will return next year as captains. The duo will be joined in that role by Letters.
