Smith earns second straight honorable mention

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – For the second straight week, Tricia Smith received an honorable mention from the Patriot League. Smith averaged 14 points and nine rebounds in the Mountain Hawks’ two wins last week against Navy and Army. Against the Midshipmen, she scored a career high 18 points, and also grabbed seven rebounds, six of which were on the offensive end. In Saturday’s nationally televised game against Army, Smith recorded her third double-double of the season and her career, with 10 points and a team high 11 rebounds.

Smith earned her second honorable mention of the season last week, when she tied her then-career high with 17 points against American. She also earned her first career Player of the Week award this season on December 27.

Lehigh returns to action on Wednesday, when it hosts the Colgate Raiders at 7 p.m. from Stabler Arena. The game will air live on Service Electric dial position 50, with Jeff Tourial and Jim Wills calling the action.
