BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Patriot League announced its weekly award winners on Monday, and junior guard Tricia Smith received an honorable mention for her performance against American on Saturday. Against the Eagles, Smith led the Mountain Hawks with 17 points, nine rebounds, four steals and four blocks. Her four blocks were a career high and the most by a Lehigh player since Melissa Rich had four against American earlier this season. Her 17 points also tied her career high, which she set earlier this year against Binghamton.
This is the second time this season that Smith has earned an honorable mention from the Patriot League. She earned one on December 17, for her performance against Ohio. She has also been named the Player of the Week once this season, for her outstanding two game output against Binghamton and Sacred Heart.
Smith and the rest of the Mountain Hawks are back in action on Wednesday, when they travel to Annapolis, Md., for a 7 p.m. game against Navy. The game can be heard live on 91.3 WLVR-FM, as well as Lehighsports.com, with streaming provided by Yahoo! Sports.
