Smith named Player of the Week

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Patriot League announced its players of the week on Friday, and Tricia Smith earned her first career Player of the Week honor. In Lehigh’s two wins last week, Smith accounted for 28 points and 13 rebounds. She hit the game-winning free throw against Binghamton in the second overtime, and scored all six of the Mountain Hawks points in the first overtime. The junior guard also hit a career high three three-pointers against Sacred Heart.

Smith is the first Mountain Hawk to be named Player of the Week this season. She has also earned an honorable mention, for her 14 point performance against Ohio two weeks ago.

Lehigh will be back in action on Saturday when it hosts the Christmas City Classic, with the first round beginning at 1 p.m. The Mountain Hawks will play their game at 3:30 p.m. against Brown.
