League leading ten named to Academic Honor Roll

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lehigh placed a league-best ten student-athletes on the 2007 Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, it was announced on Friday. In all, 45 student-athletes from around the league were honored. To be eligible for the honor roll, a student-athlete must obtain a 3.2 grade point average and be awarded a varsity letter in his/her sport. Sophomore Haly Crites earned a perfect 4.00 grade point average for the semester, while Sara Ellis (3.91) and Natalie Green (3.94) both posted GPA’s over 3.90.

Other members of the honor roll were Adrienne Blount, Alison Buchan, Kristen Dalton, Kaela Pearce, Melissa Rich, Alex Ross and Wendy Szczerbiak.

Earlier this year, American’s Liz Hayes was named the Patriot League’s Scholar-Athlete of the Year for women’s basketball.
