Mountain Hawks make Honor Roll for fourth year

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Hitting the books has paid off once again for the Mountain Hawks. For the fourth-consecutive year, the team has been ranked among the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association Top 25 Team Honor Roll. Lehigh’s team grade-point average of 3.338 tied for 14th with Liberty University.

Last year, the Mountain Hawks had eight players named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll team, which requires a student-athlete to earn a 3.2 GPA in the spring semester. Sophomore Natalie Green was just one of the league’s two 4.0 GPAs. In addition, five Mountain Hawks made Dean’s List, which requires students exceed a 3.5 GPA.

The Mountain Hawks have continually seen success in the classroom. Lehigh athletics has been ranked in the top 20 of the NCAA’s overall student-athlete graduation rates since the NCAA started collecting such data. Lehigh also earned the first ever

USA

Today/NCAA Foundation Academic Achievement Award for having the nation’s highest graduation rate in 2001. Most recently, the university as a whole was ranked within the top 35 of U.S. News & Report’s annual poll of Top National Universities. Lehigh ranked 33rd out of 124 schools.
