Callan named to Academic All-District team

In the classroom, Callan boasts a 3.46 GPA as a double major in psychology and sociology. She has been selected to the Patriot League’s Academic Honor Roll multiple times for her hard work in the classroom, and has also captured Dean’s List recognition at Lehigh.
On the court, the senior captain has stepped into a starting role and put together a breakout season for the Mountain Hawks. Callan currently leads the Patriot League in rebounding, averaging 11.7 boards per game – almost three more caroms per night than anyone else in the league. She ranks second in the league in scoring, averaging over 15 points per game.

Last week, Callan entered Lehigh’s all-time top ten rebounding list, currently sitting in eighth place with 574 career boards. She is on pace to shatter the school record for career field goal percentage, having connected on 51.8% of her shot attempts.
Callan’s recognition on the All-District team marks the sixth straight season that at least one Mountain Hawk has been represented on the squad. Academic success is nothing new to the women’s basketball team, as the team posted a 3.40 team GPA last fall. In all, nine of the eleven players on the roster posted a GPA of 3.0 or higher in the fall term.
