Lehigh looks to stop a season-long five game slide as the Mountain Hawks hit the road for a pair of games against the service academies. On Tuesday night, Lehigh travels to Navy. The Mountain Hawks had won four in a row at Alumni Hall before the Midshipmen earned a five-point win over Lehigh there last season. Despite Lehigh’s recent struggles, junior Adrienne Blount has come on strong, averaging over 21 points and nine rebounds per game over her last three.
Junior Emily Geosits has stepped up her play over the last three games. During that span, Geosits has averaged 11 points, three rebounds, and three three-pointers in 24 minutes per game off the bench.
The Midshipmen come into Tuesday night’s game with a two-game winning streak over Lehigh, thanks to a seven-point overtime win at Stabler Arena last month. Since that game, however, the Mids have lost four of six, including a pair of games to rival Army.
The all-time series between these two schools is tied at 17 wins apiece. The Mountain Hawks had won the last eight meetings between these two teams, and ten of the last eleven matchups before the Mids put together their current two-game win streak. Lehigh has won four of its last five in
