Lehigh's Blount named Patriot League player of the week

In Lehigh’s first two games of the season, Blount has averaged a Patriot League-best seventeen points per game on 72% field goal shooting. She averaged six rebounds on the week, as well as two steals and 1.5 assists in helping the Mountain Hawks to a 1-1 record. Over the course of the two games, Blount connected on 13 of her 17 field goal attempts.
Blount scored a career high 18 points in an overtime loss at Penn in the opener, and followed that effort up with 16 points in Sunday’s win over Brown. Those two games marked Blount’s first career starts at Lehigh.
