Mountain Hawks host Bucknell to close out homestand

Lehigh wraps up a four-game homestand and ends a 10-of-12 stretch at Stabler Arena as the Mountain Hawks play host to in-state rival Bucknell. Lehigh can match its best-ever start in league play (5-0) if the Mountain Hawks can get past the Bison, losers of three of their first four in league competition. The Mountain Hawks remained perfect in the Patriot League with a 13-point win over visiting Colgate on Friday night. Sara Ellis scored 24 points, her fourth 20-point effort of the season, in the win. The Bison are looking to rebound after dropping a 55-53 decision at Lehigh’s win over Colgate Friday night (Jan. 21) was its 12th triumph of the season. By contrast, last year’s Mountain Hawks won their 12th game on February 29, 2004 – the final day of the regular season – with a victory at Holy Cross. Bucknell enters Sunday’s contest with a 7-10 overall record and a 1-3 mark in the Patriot League. The Bison are looking to get back on track after dropping their last two Patriot League affairs. Lehigh head coach Sue Troyan is 8-11 all-time against the Bison. Sunday’s game will tip-off at 1:05 with Mascot Mania at Stabler Arena. All fans 12 and under will be admitted free of charge, with appearances scheduled by Sponge Bob, Garfield, Shrek, Scooby Doo, Dora the Explorer, and more.
