Rigney and Flores join Lehigh coaching staff

Glenn Rigney comes to Lehigh after spending the past three seasons as an assistant within the Patriot League. Last season, he helped lead the American University Eagles to the Patriot League championship for the first time in school history. Rigney was an assistant at Navy for two years prior to working at American, concentrating on the team’s defensive play.
Prior to his stint at Navy, Rigney spent 16 seasons at the high school level. In eight years at
Rigney worked with American’s post players a season ago, and he will focus his efforts in a similar capacity at Lehigh.
“Coach Rigney brings a wealth of knowledge to our program, strong teaching abilities, a strong
understanding of recruiting and the types of student-athletes we are targeting at our level,” said Lehigh coach Sue Troyan, set to enter her tenth season. “He possesses a high level of knowledge regarding our league and league opponents, and a strong sense for the values we hold within the Patriot League, and in particular, at Lehigh.”
