Lehigh closes regular season at Holy Cross

Lehigh wraps up the regular season with a trip to Worcester on Sunday. Lehigh looks to rebound following Friday night’s 11-point setback at Colgate. In that game, the Mountain Hawks trailed from the get-go, and found themselves trying to battle back all night. Jessica DePalo paced Lehigh with 22 points and eight rebounds, and three blocks on the night. Meanwhile, the Crusaders look to rebound from Friday night’s home loss to Bucknell with their final home contest. A Lehigh victory, coupled with a Bucknell win over Colgate would give the Mountain Hawks a share of the Patriot League women's basketball crown. Last time these two squads sqaured off at the Hart Center, the Mountain Hawks snapped a Crusaders home winning streak against league opponents that had dated back to 1994. Lehigh looks for revenge following the Crusaders’ three point victory at Stabler Arena last month. Jessica DePalo scored 23 and Sara Ellis netted 21 in the defeat. Holy Cross has dominated the all-time series between the two schools, winning 29 of the 32 previous meetings. However, Lehigh has split with the Crusaders in each of the last two seasons. Two years ago, the Mountain Hawks won a double-overtime thriller at Stabler Arena, and last year, Lehigh ended Holy Cross’ 55-game home league winning streak.
