1/6/2004 12:00:00 AM | Women's Basketball
The Mountain Hawks look for their third consecutive win tonight as Lehigh visits the University of Pennsylvania. Last time out, the Mountain Hawks earned a 65-58 victory over the Knights of Fairleigh Dickinson on Saturday afternoon. Lehigh was led by the play of junior Jessica DePalo, who scored 17 points and pulled down four rebounds in the win. Jewel Clark has paced the Quakers all season long. She is the team’s leading scorer at 20 points per game, and she leads the squad in rebounds as well at 9.6. Penn returns to The Palestra for only its second home game of the season, with the other coming on December 1. Lehigh is 2-2 in road games this season. Penn leads the all-time series between the two schools, 13 games to 11. Last time the two teams met, the Quakers earned a 79-69 victory over Lehigh in Stabler Arena last January. The last Mountain Hawks’ win came in 1998, as Lehigh topped Penn 71-62. Lehigh’s last win in The Palestra came in 1995, a 68-53 triumph. Tuesday’s game tips off at 7:00, and the action can be heard live on WLVR-FM in the Lehigh Valley, as well as on Lehigh’s web site at Lehighsports.com, with streaming provided by Yahoo! Sports.
