Mountain Hawks set to visit Army Friday
9/17/2003 12:00:00 AM | Women's Basketball
Lehigh looks to return to the win column on Friday night, as the Mountain Hawks visit Army. Last time out, Lehigh came up on the short end of a 53-47 score at American. The Mountain Hawks struggled in the paint, as well as shooting the basketball. Senior Cat Nicholson got hot in the second half, sinking four three-pointers, but in the end, it wasn’t enough. The loss snapped a six-game Lehigh winning streak, and dropped the Mountain Hawks to 8-2 on the season in Patriot League games. Army enters Friday’s showdown with a 4-6 record in league games. The Black Knights most recently defeated Colgate by nine. Shavonne Holden led the way for the Black Knights, recording a double-double. Junior Katie Macfarlane led all scorers with 20 points in the win. Friday night’s contest gets underway at 5:30 from Christl Arena in West Point. Live radio and Internet coverage gets underway at 5:15. The game can be heard live throughout the Lehigh Valley on 91.3 FM (WLVR) and at lehigh.edu with Mike Garland calling all the action.
