9/17/2003 12:00:00 AM | Women's Basketball
The first place Mountain Hawks take to the court Tuesday night in hopes of extending their season-long five game winning streak. Lehigh will host Bucknell in a Patriot League tilt inside Stabler Arena. Lehigh is off to a 7-1 start in the league, and is coming off a 68-57 win over Navy on Saturday night. The Mountain Hawks were paced by the play of senior captain Anne Tierney in the win. She scored 19 points and pulled down 13 rebounds on the night, and that play earned her Patriot League Player of the Week honors. Meanwhile Bucknell returns to action looking to recover from Saturday’s loss at American. Playing without point guard Kate Franks, the Bison dropped a 72-60 decision. Bucknell was led by the play of senior Molly Creamer, who poured in 26 points. She leads the nation in scoring, averaging 27.5 points per game. Tuesday night’s contest gets underway at 5:30. Radio coverage begins on WLVR at 5:15. Tickets for the game can be purchased through the Lehigh Ticket Office at (610) 7LU-GAME, or on game-day at the Stabler Arena box office.
