Lehigh to battle UNC Saturday

The Mountain Hawks travel to Chapel Hill, North Carolina to square off with the nationally ranked Tar Heels of the University of North Carolina on Saturday night. Lehigh looks to get back on track in its final non-Patriot League game of the season; the Mountain Hawks have dropped their last five contests. Lehigh is paced by junior co-captain Anne Tierney, who is averaging nearly 16 points and over 9 rebounds per contest. Tierney recorded her fifth double-double of the season in Wednesday night’s loss to Stony Brook. UNC has won its last two contests, and is off to a 3-0 start in the highly-competitive Atlantic Coast Conference. The Tar Heels are ranked 18th nationally in the latest coaches’ poll, and are led by senior Nikki Teasley, who is averaging over 16 points per game. The Mountain Hawks showdown vs. North Carolina will take place on the UNC campus on Saturday night at 7:00. The game will be broadcast live on WLVR-FM (91.3) in the Lehigh Valley, as well as on the Lehigh web site.
