Lehigh set to battle Sacred Heart

Lehigh travels to Sacred Heart Tuesday night, in search of its first win of the season. Tip off is set for 7:30 pm from the William H. Pitt Center in Fairfield, Connecticut. The Mountain Hawks opened the season on Friday night with a 76-61 loss at Princeton. Lehigh was led by junior Cat Nicholson’s 14 points. Junior co-captain Anne Tierney, along with sophomore Jana Ransom chipped in with eight points apiece. Tierney also collected eight rebounds on the night. Sacred Heart is 1-0 after downing Lafayette on Saturday in Fairfield. Junior Brooke Kelly paced the Pioneers with 10 points and three steals, while senior Leslie Newhard scored seven points, pulled down six rebounds, and dished out four assists in the 71-53 win. Last year, Lehigh and Sacred Heart squared off, and the Pioneers pulled out a 70-52 win at Stabler Arena last season. Brooke Kelly led the way with 21 points that afternoon. Jana Ransom scored 12 and pulled down 5 rebounds in the loss. Tuesday’s game can be heard live on the Internet at www.lehigh.edu, beginning with the pregame show at 7:15.
