Lehigh places five on inaugural crew Academic Honor Roll

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Lehigh placed five student-athletes on the inaugural women’s crew Patriot League Academic Honor Roll for the spring semester as announced by the league office on Thursday afternoon. Sophomore Rebecca Guzman and senior Megan Vasta led the way perfect 4.00 grade point averages for the Mountain Hawks. To be eligible, a student-athlete must obtain at least a 3.2 GPA and be a starter or key player in his/her sport.

The other Mountain Hawks that joined Guzman and Vasta were seniors Lauren Chanatry and Sabrina Slater and junior Margaret O’Shea.

In all there were 63 women’s rowers throughout the Patriot League selected to the Honor Roll, led by Navy senior Shaunnah Wark, who was named the Scholar-Athlete of the Year award winner after helping lead the Midshipmen to the Patriot League Championship.
