Lewisburg, PA – Senior Tony Lowe's six goals were not enough to lead Lehigh past Bucknell Saturday afternoon as the Bison defeated the Mountain Hawks 20-10. The loss drops Lehigh to 5-8 overall and 2-3 in the Patriot League, as Bucknell moves to 5-1 in the league and ties Hobart for first place. The Bison took any early lead scoring seven unanswered goals in the first quarter. Lehigh sophomore Mike Titus found the back of the net first for the Mountain Hawks off a pass from Lowe during an extra-man opportunity in the second quarter. It was freshman Andrew Lucas and senior David Cohen who teamed up for the next goal. Cohen found Lucas with just 39 seconds left before halftime. Lowe was hot after the intermission as he scored all six of his goals in the final two periods; four of them came with in the final six minutes of play. However, Lehigh's offensive efforts were overshadowed by the barrage of Bison shots fired at the Lehigh goal. Bucknell out-shot Lehigh 42-22. Lehigh freshman goalie Tom Ellis split time in the net with senior goalie Russell Kushner. The duo combined for 12 saves, each recording six. The Mountain Hawks return home Saturday May 4th as they host league opponent Army in their final contest at the Ulrich Sports Complex. That game is scheduled to begin at 1:00. Score
