Moscow and Angelo receive honorable mentions

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Senior David Moscow and freshman Greg Angelo both picked up their second Patriot League honorable mention in Tuesday’s list of league award winners for their performances last week. Moscow and Angelo both received their first honorable mention of the season on April 3.

Moscow was 5-for-14 from the plate, including 4-of-7 against the Black Knights on Sunday. He scored two runs, both of which were in Sunday’s second game. His scored his first run in the second inning off a sacrifice fly by sophomore Michael Laychur in order to give the Mountain Hawks a 1-0 lead. His second came in the fourth inning as he and classmate Stephen Salemme scored off a Josh Harakal double to even the game at three.

Angelo made his only appearance on the mound against Army in Sunday’s first game. In his third start against a Patriot League team, Angelo threw seven innings, allowed one run and held the Black Knights to just three hits all while registering a 1.29 ERA.

The Mountain Hawks’ season came to an end this past weekend at the baseball field on the Goodman Campus. During the season, Lehigh, 13-30-1 overall and 2-18 in league play, saw junior Liam O’Connor garner back-to-back Patriot League Player of the Week honors. The Mountain Hawks also made their third trip in four years to the Liberty Bell Classic finals.
