Lehigh-Coppin State game called due to rain

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lehigh’s game against Coppin State on Wednesday afternoon was called due to rain. Light rain was already falling at the start of the game and the rain became steadier as the game progressed forcing the game to be called with one out in the bottom of the fifth. In order for an official result to be recorded, games must be played until five innings are complete.

The Mountain Hawks wrap up their season this weekend when they host Army in a four-game Patriot League series on the Goodman Campus. Doubleheaders on both Saturday and Sunday are scheduled for noon with the second game starting approximately 30 minutes after the conclusion of the first. For those unable to make it to the Goodman Campus, Saturday’s doubleheader will be broadcast online at lehighsports.com, with streaming provided by Yahoo! Sports.
