Lehigh picked to finish second in preseason P.L. poll

Bethlehem, PA – The Lehigh baseball team has been picked to finish second in the Patriot League in a preseason poll of the league’s six head coaches and sports information directors, it was announced Thursday. Army received 50 points and all ten possible first place votes, as the Black Knights were picked to repeat as league champions. The Mountain Hawks garnered 36 points and two first place votes in the poll. Coaches and SIDs were not allowed to vote for their own team.
Lehigh returns several key starters from a team that went 25-21 a season ago, while qualifying for the Patriot League playoffs for the third consecutive season. The 25 victories in 2004 mark the second most in a single season in school history.
