Lehigh-Lafayette to meet on Wednesday

Lehigh and Lafayette have announced that the two teams will renew acquaintances on Wednesday, April 28 to complete their Patriot League series. The two squads will play a doubleheader beginning at 1:00 at Lehigh’s Goodman Field. The Mountain Hawks must win both games in order to qualify for the Patriot League postseason tournament. If Lehigh loses one or both games, Holy Cross will earn the last playoff bid. Regardless of the outcomes Wednesday, the Leopards are the No. 2 seed in the upcoming tournament, to be held beginning May 8 at top-seeded Army.

Because of the need to make up the doubleheader (first postponed Sunday, then Monday), both teams have been forced to cancel non-league games scheduled for Wednesday. Lehigh was set to take on St. Joseph’s at Limeport Stadium, while the Leopards altered their schedule as well.
