Lehigh welcomes Navy in first-ever meeting

Lehigh has been led on the offensive end by freshman Lauren Dykstra, a five time Patriot League Rookie of the Week Honoree. After a five goal performance against Holy Cross, Dykstra (44 goals) is now only four goals away from breaking teammate Sara MacIntyre’s freshman record of 47 set in 2006.
MacIntyre has scored 26 goals for the Mountain Hawks this season, while sophomore Inneke Carmola has netted 24. Following Carmola, Christy Smith (17), Allison Thomas (16) and Meagan Tenety (14) have each scored double digit goals. Tenety leads the team with 16 assists followed by Carmola’s 14.
Tess McGrath leads the Brown and White with 30 draw controls, while Dykstra leads the team with 33 ground balls.
Sophomore goalkeeper Kelsy Ferris recorded 15 saves against the Crusaders as well as one ground ball. In 628 minutes of action, Ferris has recorded a .504 save percentage this season while facing 296 shots.
Erin Rawlick is Navy’s leading scorer with 40 goals and 12 assists for 52 points thus far in the season. Freshman Meg Decker trails Rawlick with 32 goals and 10 assists (42 points) while senior Amanda Towey leads the Mids with 22 assists. The Mids will look for their first road win on Saturday.
Caitlin Mandrin Hill is the team leader in ground balls with 29 as well as caused turnovers (16), while Rawlick leads the Mids with 35 draw controls.
Natalie Blandon has started all 10 games for Navy in goal. She has recorded 69 saves on 215 shots faced which is good for a .429 save percentage in 660 minutes of action.
This will be the first meeting between these two teams in women's lacrosse.
Lehigh and Navy will begin play at noon on Saturday at the Ulrich Sports Complex.
