BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lehigh had three players awarded with honorable mention accolades on Tuesday by the Patriot League, as freshmen Inneke Carmola and Kelsy Ferris, along with sophomore Sara MacIntyre were all honored.  Carmola totaled ten points in the Mountain Hawks two games last week, while Ferris posted 31 saves and MacIntyre found the back of the net six times.

In Lehigh’s victory over Fairfield on March 20, Carmola scored twice, handed out two assists and won two draw controls.  Ferris posted a 15 save performance, as she won her second collegiate game.  MacIntyre scored four goals, leading the Mountain Hawks with seven shots, and the Pennsylvania native added three ground balls and one draw control.

On March 24, Lehigh opened its 2007 Patriot League slate versus Bucknell, and Carmola found the back of the net five times.  The two-time Rookie of the Week also scooped up two ground balls and was a perfect three-of-three on free position shots.  Ferris sent back a career-high 16 shots in goal against the Bison, and also picked up five ground balls, while MacIntyre scored twice, handed out two helpers and won two draw controls.

On the season, Carmola and MacIntyre have each scored 18 goals, which includes a combined seven-goal performance in Lehigh’s 11-10 victory over UC-Davis on Monday afternoon.  Carmola leads the Brown and White with 23 points, while MacIntyre has scored 22 points.  Ferris has started all eight games for the Mountain Hawks, having stopped 90 shots in over 415 minutes of action.

Lehigh and its award winners will return to the field on Friday evening when the Mountain Hawks travel to Easton to take on the Leopards of Lafayette.  The opening draw control between the long-time rivals is set for 7:00.
