BETHLEHEM, Pa. – For the third time this season, freshman Sara MacIntyre has been named the Patriot League Rookie of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday.  MacIntyre helped lead the Brown and White to a pair of victories last week, as she netted five goals and handed out one assist in contests vs. Sacred Heart and Villanova.

MacIntyre scored one goal and scooped up two ground balls in Lehigh’s 11-10 victory over the Pioneers on Tuesday of last week.  The Pennsylvania native then backed that up with a four-goal, one assist performance as Lehigh won its first league game of the season with a dominating 14-6 victory over the Wildcats on Saturday afternoon at the Ulrich Sports Complex.

The Arts and Sciences major currently leads the Patriot League with 31 goals, and is just 14 scores shy of setting the record for most goals by a freshman at Lehigh in school history.  MacIntyre has scored four or more goals five different times this season.

MacIntyre and her Mountain Hawk teammates return to action on Saturday afternoon when they travel to Hamilton, New York to take on the Colgate Raiders.  Game time is set for 12:00.
