Bethlehem, PA – After scoring five goals in two games, including the game-winner in one, sophomore Amy Chamberlain was named the Patriot League’s Player of the Week on Monday afternoon.  Chamberlain netted five goals, handed out five assists, and totaled ten points in two games for the Mountain Hawks last week.  Chamberlain is the only Lehigh player to have found the back of the net at least 20 times this season, and currently has 24 goals.

Chamberlain scored three goals and handed out two assists in a wild affair with Sacred Heart on Tuesday, March 29, a game Lehigh would lose 14-13.  Chamberlain then followed that up with season highs in both assists and points in the Mountain Hawks game with Villanova on Sunday afternoon in Philadelphia.  The Wayne, PA native scored three more goals and handed out three assists, en route to six points.  Chamberlain spiced her showing with the game-winning goal with just 26 ticks left on the clock to help Lehigh snap its six-game losing streak and pick up its first Patriot League victory of the season.

Chamberlain leads Lehigh in goals and also in points with 33.  She has also handed out nine assists and scooped up 12 ground balls, while having started all ten games for the 4-6 Mountain Hawks.

Lehigh and Chamberlain return to action on Saturday afternoon as the Mountain Hawks play host to Patriot League foe Colgate.  Game time is scheduled for 1:00 from the Ulrich Sports Complex.
