Bethlehem, PA – After exploding for six goals in Lehigh’s 17-7 win over Lafayette on Saturday afternoon in Easton, sophomore Amy Chamberlain has been named the Patriot League Player of the Week for the second time this season, as announced by the league office on Monday.  In the Mountain Hawks two wins last week, the other being against Columbia, the Pennsylvania native scored 11 goals and added four assists.  Chamberlain leads the team in points with 60 points and in goals with 46.

Chamberlain’s six goals against the Leopards was a career high for Chamberlain, and she has now registered at least five points in four games this season.  In the Mountain Hawks 13-10 victory over Columbia, Chamberlain scored five goals, including the game-winner, while also handing out two assists and scooping up two ground balls.  In Lehigh’s game with Lafayette, the sophomore scored six goals and handed out two more assists, as the Brown and White picked up victory number seven on the season.  Lehigh’s record now sits at 7-9 overall and 3-3 in Patriot League play.

The Mountain Hawks return to action on Saturday afternoon at 12:00 when they take on the Colgate Raiders in the 2005 Patriot League Tournament.  Lehigh enters the tournament as the number four seed, while the Raiders are the top seed and host school.  Saturday’s game will be broadcast live on lehighsports.com
