Lehigh opens Florida stay with win over Air Force

Bradenton, FL – Senior Forrest Doane was two-for-two with a homer as Lehigh opened its week-long stay in Florida with a convincing 12-6 victory over Air Force on Saturday night. The win improves Lehigh’s record to 2-0 on the season, while Air Force falls to 4-11 after the loss.
The Mountain Hawks put runs on the board in six of the first seven innings, and pounded out 16 hits in the win. Third baseman John Zaszewski was 5-for-6 with three runs batted in and four runs scored. Right fielder Nick Bet was 3-for-4 with three runs scored for Lehigh.
On the mound, senior Jack Muscalus allowed just two runs over six innings to earn the win, his second of the season.
